Overseas Business Research Partner

Turn local data into
overseas business decisions.

A research partner that structures overseas business questions through data.

METHODOLOGY

Start from structure, not from search

Keyword search alone rarely reaches the granularity needed for country comparisons or board-level memos. We first define the structure of what we are researching, then choose information sources accordingly.

See how we work
  1. 01

    Define from industry structure

Before keyword search, organize product categories, commercial flows, regulatory units, and comparison targets.

  2. 02

    Combine information sources

Government statistics, company databases, SNS, local media, regulatory filings — chosen per question.

  3. 03

    Verify across languages

Japanese, English, Thai, Chinese — confirm original context rather than relying on translated summaries.

  4. 04

    Deliver as report + data

PowerPoint, Excel, source list, and unconfirmed-point register — shapes internal teams can reuse.

RESEARCH THEMES

Common research themes

Public case studies require confidentiality clearance. Here are the themes we most often get asked about, with the shape of deliverables.

Country comparisonPre-entry

See candidate countries side-by-side

Market size, competitors, regulations, distribution, and capex — organized on the same axis into a comparison table the team can debate.

Partner shortlistingEntry prep

Distributor / sales-channel candidates in one list

Business overview, product lines, target regions, observed public touchpoints, and reasons for exclusion — laid out as a comparison table.

On-the-ground trackingPost-entry

Track competitor, promo, and news changes continuously

Local SNS, news, reviews, competitor posts — boiled into HQ-shareable points with source URLs.

FAQ

Frequently asked

  • Yes. We sign NDAs on every engagement, including M&A studies and confidential new-business research. We can also use our template if you do not have one.
  • Yes. In the first call we ask about the purpose, background, and internal decision you face, then propose a research scope. Narrowing scope also lets us share rough timelines and estimates.
  • It depends on the country and language. We read primary sources directly in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Thai. For other language regions, we combine translation support and local resources after the first scoping call.
  • Depending on scope and country count, single-topic studies typically run 1–2 weeks; multi-country studies run 2–4 weeks. For urgent cases we can deliver in stages.
  • By default a PowerPoint report plus the supporting Excel data. We can match internal templates. Sources, assumptions, and unconfirmed points are explicit so internal teams can verify.
  • By scope. We quote after the first scoping call, factoring in country count, sources, candidate-firm volume, deliverable format, and timeline.
  • We design the research ourselves and cross-check public sources. Local-language materials are read in original context. Sources and assumptions are made explicit; unconfirmed figures are separated from confirmed ones.
  • Yes — quotes, invoices, delivery notes, and NDAs as required by internal approval. Corporate-account workflows, acceptance forms, and payment-term adjustments are supported.
